Privacy Policy

1. ABOUT THIS POLICY

CrumbPilot is an offline bakery order and production planning app for home bakers, cake designers, and small bakeries. This Privacy Policy explains which information the app uses, where it is stored, how optional export and sharing work, and the choices available to you.

This policy describes the current offline version of CrumbPilot. If the app's behavior changes in a future release, this policy must be updated accordingly.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER INTO THE APP

CrumbPilot allows you to enter and manage data such as: - Customer names, phone numbers, order details, quantities, dates, order status, and delivery or pickup instructions. - Custom cake specifications, flavors, sizes, fillings, frosting, decorations, notes, and reference images. - Product catalog records, recipes, ingredients, units, serving quantities, and shopping checklist information. - Baking schedules, preparation checklist progress, estimated prices, ingredient expenses, labor, packaging costs, deposits, and balances. - Favorites, preferences, and locally generated record identifiers.

The app accesses this information to display, calculate, edit, and organize your bakery records. It is stored locally on your device using application storage, including SQLite databases and preferences. The app does not require you to create an account.

If you enter another person's contact information, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis to record and use it for your bakery activities.

3. DATA COLLECTION, TRACKING, AND INTERNET ACCESS

In the current release, CrumbPilot does not transmit your bakery records to our servers. It does not include in-app advertising, analytics SDKs, Firebase services, third-party tracking, or an app account system. The Android app does not request the INTERNET permission.

Data you enter is processed locally for the app's functions. No bakery data is automatically uploaded by CrumbPilot.

4. PHOTOS AND FILE ACCESS

You may choose product or decoration reference photos through the Android system's file or photo picker. CrumbPilot accesses the files that you explicitly select and may store a local reference to those files. It does not request unrestricted access to all of your device photos or files.

If you move, delete, or revoke access to a selected photo, the image may no longer appear in the app or its backup. When restoring a backup, image copies included in that backup may be saved to the app's private storage.

5. PDF EXPORTS, ZIP BACKUPS, AND OPTIONAL SHARING

You can choose to create PDF order summaries and ZIP backups. These files may include customer names, phone numbers, cake specifications, recipes, prices, order notes, and other records you entered. ZIP backups are not encrypted by CrumbPilot.

You choose where to save the files using Android's system file interface. You may also choose to share a PDF through another app, such as email or a messaging service. In that case, the selected application or storage provider may receive and process the file according to its own privacy policy. For example, saving to a cloud-synced folder may result in your file being uploaded by that storage provider; CrumbPilot itself does not upload it.

Do not send or store exported files in insecure locations if they contain confidential customer information.

6. PERMISSIONS AND DEVICE STORAGE

CrumbPilot uses its app-private storage to keep records. It relies on Android's system document/photo selection and export interfaces when you choose files. The app does not request internet access or broad media storage permissions in the current release.

Android's app sandbox restricts other apps' access to app-private data under normal device security controls. However, CrumbPilot does not promise separate end-to-end or at-rest encryption for its database or exported files. We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock and safeguarding your exports.

Automatic Android app backup is disabled for this release. The separate manual ZIP backup feature is optional.

7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Locally entered data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. You can delete individual orders and certain products from inside the app. Products referenced by active records may need those records updated or removed first.

The More > Remove testing data feature removes bundled demonstration records and starter content, subject to protecting items needed by your own orders. It is not a full deletion of your manually entered bakery data.

To remove all local CrumbPilot data, use your device's Android Settings > Apps > CrumbPilot > Storage > Clear data / Clear storage (menu wording varies by device), or uninstall the app. This can permanently remove locally stored records that you have not exported. Exported PDFs and backup ZIP files saved outside the app are not necessarily deleted when the app's data is cleared or the app is uninstalled; delete those files separately from the location where you saved them. Files you intentionally shared may remain with their recipients.

Because we do not maintain a server database of your bakery records, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete copies stored only on your device, in your exported files, or with external sharing providers.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

CrumbPilot is a bakery productivity tool intended for people managing bakery work and is not specifically directed at children. It does not provide accounts or knowingly collect children's personal information on a developer-operated server.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this policy if the app's features or data handling practices change, or to reflect changes in applicable requirements. The effective date at the top will be updated when the policy is revised. The current version should be available in the app and at the public Privacy Policy link provided in the Google Play listing.
